I have created this 7x7  Gift Canvas using the Clearsnap Smooch Spritz Sprays,
Modelling Paste & a Chipboard flourish.
The Smooch Sprtiz Sprays are my favourite inks for using on canvas's the colours are so rich and are just gorgeous!
 1. To create this canvas start by giving your canvas a thin coat of the modelling paste, I Created the texture lines in the paste with a tool I have created like a credit card. Allow this layer to dry a little before doing the flourish.
2. The Modelling paste flourish was created by placing the chipboard piece on your canvas then coat over the chipboard with the modelling paste then scraping the excess off the top . Then lift the chipboard flourish straight up and out of the way then you can use a spatula to blend in around the edges. Leave this to dry overnight.
3. Next use your smooch spritz to spray over your canvas. Over lap colours until you are happy with the effect and spritz with water to help blend and lighten colours.
I have used a mix of Caramel Latte, Candle Glow, Mossy Mist, Green Olive & Citris Tickle
When you spay each colour experiment by letting it run one way then the other over the canvas  and spritzing with water for different effects!
4. Once you are happy with your colours I have added a little gold Rub & Buff over the ridges to highlight the texture.
5. This was then decorated with trinkets and found items along with some graphic 45 tags and Dusty Attic Doily Chipboard. Use 3D foam tape to add more dimension when you are creating depth on your projects.

I hope you have enjoyed this project! :)

Cheers to creating gifts from the heart this holiday season!

Happy Hopping!

    Friends ~ Donna Salazar ~( 3 Tutorials in 1)

Hi again, good to see you back here! Against all odds I have this post ready for you today. And I mean all odds, it has been a long road to get this post happening. My new computer of 12 months crashed, so I got my old computer reformatted to use and it too crashed yesterday, it kept freezing and was super slow and  playing up which reminded me why I upgraded in the first place. Anyway it has been a trial as I am now using the laptop. But it hasn't been easy as the programs and printer are hooked up to the desktop. It's always the way when you have a heavy workload with umpteen deadlines looming! But I made it! Maybe with a few extra grey hairs but I am here! Phew! OK Back to normal programing, I am back with another Donna Salazar Design for you today with 3 tutorials for the price of one.

This layout is on a group of Leonii's childhood friends from primary school. Its great that they keep in contact and and catch up when they can, even though they have left school.

Lots of yummy Donna products on this layout. Here is a tutorial on how I created the background:

I have used the Kaisercraft TigerLily Butterflies and the Want2Scrap Butterfly Bling to create these cute little butterflies. Here is the Tutorial on how I created these:

Last but not least here is a tutorial on making Paper Towel Flowers. I love the colours you can get when you clean up your spray ink with a paper towel. The best part is that you always have flowers that match your project perfectly.

The Chipboard flourishes were inked with the black MMI and embossed with the Black & Indigo Embossing powders.

     Materials Used:

    Clearsnap
    Other Products:
    Paper Towel
    Tags, Doiley, Brads

    Embroidery Thread

    Friends Tag - Unknown.

    Adhesives

    Helmar Tiger Grip
    3D Foam Tape
    Double Sided Tape

    Tools

    Heat Gun

    Have a great day!

Hear you with ~ Donna Salazar Designs ~ DT Swap ~ Donna

Hellooooo, How is everyone today?? I this post finds you all well. I am back again with another DT Swap layout, this month I had to do Donna's photo. This was such a fun photo to scrap! I hope you like it Donna!

Lots of stitching on this one, I have even machine stitched over the chipboard  letters.
The drips in the background were created by mixing embossing powder with the Mix'd Media Re-Inkers then adding dots of the mixture to the top of the page. Then hold the page up vertically and water spritz over these to create drippage. Once you are happy with the drips you can then heat set the remaining embossing powder. It gives it a nice grainy look like sand particles.

I hope you like it Donna!
    Cheers Michelle x

Harlequin - Donna Salazar Designs & Emboss Gloss Embossing

Isn't this year just flying by, I swear the years are going quicker and quicker each year.
Hi there, Michelle back again with another layout created using more gorgeous Donna Salazar products with a simple Emboss Gloss tutorial tip.
I was lucky to snap this gorgeous pic of my DD Leonii as she was going to a fancy dress party. I created the frame in photoshop with Digital brushes from HERE

I have used the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms to make these flowers.

Emboss Gloss - Embossed Title Tutorial
The Emboss Gloss stick is perfect for embossing small Alphabet Stickers. You can get a gorgeous range of colours in the Mix'd Media Embossing Powders. So the possibilities are endless, you can change the colour of any lettering to suit your projects.

To complete this tutorial you need and Emboss Gloss Stick & Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder. A sheet of Alphabet stickers and a heat gun. And tweezers are handy for doing this technique too.

Step 1: Using the emboss gloss wand paint over the letter that you want to change the colour of.
Try staying inside the lines of the alphabet stickers with the Emboss Gloss as this makes it easier to remove the sticker after you have embossed it.

Step 2: Sprinkle the embossing powder over the Emboss Gloss.

Step 3: Heat set the embossing powder with a heat gun.

Step 4: Use you tweezers to remove the letters to add to your project.

    Easy Hey!
