Let Your Dreams Soar ~Canvas~ Dysty Attic ~ Scrappin Outback

I created this canvas while I was at the Scrappin Outback Retreat in WA. The weekend fundraiser was to raise money for the breast cancer foundation. So I donated this canvas to be auctioned off at the retreat. I really enjoyed playing with this canvas.

Thank you to Sue, for being the winning bidder!

Mix'd Media Inx CHOX Launch Party

NEW Mix’d Media Inx CHOX Launch Party!

Launchparty2
There are 8 colors in this product release:
Driftwood (tan), Sparrow (brown), Butternut (gold), Petals (pink), Sage (green), Bluejay (blue), Pomegranate (burgundy), and Midnight (black). And just like the Mix'd Media Inx, the containers have a flexible base (for a comfy grip) and a clear lid with a lip that lets you stack the pads.

You can also get the re-inkers in all 8 colors.

These new CHOX are fast drying, have LOADS of vibrant color, are great for stamping, edge distressing, coloring, and can be used in layers for blending colors (watch the technique video for day 1 on Donna's Blog). To give you an idea of how much pigment is in these inks, you can actually mix the re-inkers with a matte acrylic medium to use instead of or with acrylic paint!
Visit Donna's Blog each day from Nov 27th - Nov 29th for projects, ideas, technique videos and

PRIZES!
Today’s Bloggers:
Here's some pics of the prizes we are giving away each day below:

Each day of the launch party Donna will have TWO winners! Each prize will be a

Posers ~ Donna Salazar & Dusty Attic

Hi I am back again, today I am sharing this layout that I created at the Hyden Retreat in WA.
I think I was channeling my friend Debbie in the picture here as this layout reminds me of her style too. We had a table challenge at the retreat to use the dusty decorative frame #1.
I was also spoilt by Mistra who gave me a bunch of her ready made Donna Salazar Flowers made from the rose creation die! They are just sooo yummy, she is such a clever chickie!
The Sprightly Sprockets white coordinates fit perfectly over the decorative frame. I have also used the Family Portrait - Botanique paper here.
The circle design was created with an Orchid (The Crafters Workshop) Template. The center was inked with the Black Mix'd Media Inx. The blue Sea Kiss Smooch Spritz was wiped on with a baby wipe then I have used a card to wipe a thin layer of modelling paste over this to soften the whole effect. The blue dots around the border were created by sewing french knots on each dot.

Dusty Attic Oct {Halloween} & Nov {Yourself} ATC's

I am playing catch up this month! It has been a crazy busy year for me this year! Hoping things slow down for a few weeks at least! Here are my Oct & Nov Dusty Attic ATC's.
Oct theme was "Halloween". that one is pretty self explanatory.
Then the theme for November is "Yourself", gee that one is a bit harder. Mmmmm how do you put yourself on an ATC. I took the easy way out and used things I love, which is anything that is earthy and nature, and I think that sums me up. I would like to think that I am a down to earth person.
I cheated with this one. I used the name tag I made at the Scrapin Outback retreat and modified it into an ATC.

Especially for Lisa

I created this canvas for a special friend of mine who is going through chemo for breast cancer. We are the same age with our birthdays only 5 days apart. The enormity of what she is going through has really hit home. You feel so helpless sitting on the sidelines watching someone go through such an illness. I wanted to create something that would help give her hope and give her the strength to fight when things get rough.  My mum had similar breast cancer when I was pregnant with Wil, but it didn't seem like such a big deal as I think she shielded us from a lot of the realities back then, mum only needed the radium and luckily not chemo.
I think that with mums history that this could have easily been me. I actually had my first mamogram just before Lisa was diognosed and have had the all clear. It is scary to think that it can happen to anyone at anyage and that it is getting closer to home.
Seeing someone go through the day to day struggles of this desease is tough, Chemo is so cruel!
I couldn't imagine having to go through it myself.
Hugs Lisa

I have created this 7x7  Gift Canvas using the Clearsnap Smooch Spritz Sprays,
Modelling Paste & a Chipboard flourish.
The Smooch Sprtiz Sprays are my favourite inks for using on canvas's the colours are so rich and are just gorgeous!
 1. To create this canvas start by giving your canvas a thin coat of the modelling paste, I Created the texture lines in the paste with a tool I have created like a credit card. Allow this layer to dry a little before doing the flourish.
2. The Modelling paste flourish was created by placing the chipboard piece on your canvas then coat over the chipboard with the modelling paste then scraping the excess off the top . Then lift the chipboard flourish straight up and out of the way then you can use a spatula to blend in around the edges. Leave this to dry overnight.
3. Next use your smooch spritz to spray over your canvas. Over lap colours until you are happy with the effect and spritz with water to help blend and lighten colours.
I have used a mix of Caramel Latte, Candle Glow, Mossy Mist, Green Olive & Citris Tickle
When you spay each colour experiment by letting it run one way then the other over the canvas  and spritzing with water for different effects!
4. Once you are happy with your colours I have added a little gold Rub & Buff over the ridges to highlight the texture.
5. This was then decorated with trinkets and found items along with some graphic 45 tags and Dusty Attic Doily Chipboard. Use 3D foam tape to add more dimension when you are creating depth on your projects.

I hope you have enjoyed this project! :)

Cheers to creating gifts from the heart this holiday season!

Happy Hopping!
